רָעַם(b. h.; cmp. רעד) ( to vibrate, to thunder, rumble, roar. Hif. הִרְעִים 1) same. Ab. dR. N. ch. XXXIII ed. Schechter מצרים הִרְעִימוּ עליהם בקולם אףהקב״הה׳ עליהם קולו the Egyptians roared at (threatened) them with their voices, so did the Lord cause his voice to roar at them (2 Sam. 22:14); (oth. ed. ה׳ עליהם בקול על הים, ref. to Job 37:5).
